Yap Micronesia's little eco hotel

The Pathways Cottages

Picture
The Cottages were built using 90% local materials. The design took some time to put together as we were incorporating the traditional architecture with modern amenities.

Today we have a cottage that features a/c, ceiling fans, refrigerator, hot water, all the amenities to keep you comfortable in a traditional local hut.

As we continue in our efforts to do our part for the environment we are installing tankless water heaters to each of the cottages. These water heaters not only uses less energy it also uses less water as it requires a low flow shower head.

Design

Picture
The cottages are individually built with a walk way interconnecting them.

This gives you a feel of your very own private cottage and because it's elevated on a hillside you get the feel you are in a tree house as most or our guest put it.

Inside the Cottages

Picture
There are two twin size beds in each cottage. Depending on your bedding requirements we would combine the twin beds to make 1 king size bed. Though the cottages were built for max two people, you can fit 3 people however the 3rd person would use a futon on the floor.

Guest Hut vs. Native Deluxe

Picture
The cottages comes in two sizes,  the smaller one is called the Guest Hut and the standard size one is called Native Deluxe.

The Guest Hut is small and designed for our single budget traveller. It has a/c, hot water, private bath and a full size bed. Located on the ground level atop the front desk.

The Native Deluxe is for single and double occupancy, great for honeymooners, scuba divers, and guests visiting the island. Has a private balcony overlooking chamorro bay below. Situated in a tropical garden setting with walkways interconnecting them together.

The Restaurant  "JM's Restaurant"

Our small restaurant is located right behind the front desk. We open 7 days a week and we cater to requests as well.
